How do you think weather it be in demand to sell free-running and small portion of food by weighing?
Advantages:
You can buy any amount of food. Even if you want to taste a small cup of beveradge with handful of favorite chocolate nuts.
I think people would rather prefer these machines to regular stands and shops. Of course obligatory requirement is freshness of products, so consumers can get used to high quality service and thus gains confidence. Perhaps, it should be non perishable products.
Nowadays there is plenty of packed food for sale.
In Italy there is a pizza vending machine which whips flour, water, tomato sauce, and other ingredients to create the fresh pizza within 3 minutes. The starting price of a pizza made by the vending machine is about $4.50
In Japan there are even some extraordinary vending machines combined with gambling:

Goods for sale:
- baked breads
- various nuts
- beer snacks like dried calamaries;
- sweets
Such machines should be paired with drinks machines.
